Meet Dr. Jayson Chalmers, DDS
Dr. Chalmers started his career in dentistry by studying anthropology at UC Berkeley, where he developed a keen interest in osteology, human origins, and Meso-American archaeology. This interest eventually led him to discover the field of dental forensics, which helped him develop a passion for dentistry that endures to this day. He earned his DDS at UCSF Dental School and has been helping patients achieve healthy smiles ever since.
After graduating from UCSF Dental School, Dr. Chalmers briefly practiced in Napa before establishing Chalmers Dental in the Arden-Arcade area. He understands that trust and respect form the foundation of a strong patient-dentist relationship, so he works hard to get to know his patients and build lasting friendships with them. Dr. Chalmers is the official dentist of the Sacramento Kings, and his skill and expertise are a testament to his dedication to helping people maintain strong and vibrant smiles.
Dr. Chalmers and his wife, Elena, an esteemed professor and researcher at UC Davis and California Northstate School of Medicine, are the proud parents of three grown children, Ella, Ben, and Ava. A sports enthusiast, he enjoys cheering on our local teams. He lives in the Sierra Oaks area and enjoys traveling, gardening, baking, attending sporting events, or just kicking back with friends and family.
